What’s On in Rainbow Beach – June 2026

Hi, I’m Sally, from Rainbow House.
If you are visiting Rainbow Beach and spending a few days here, I’ve put together a simple guide to what’s on in Rainbow Beach this June 2026.

☀️ JUNE AT A GLANCE

June is one of the most popular months in Rainbow Beach. The cooler, dry winter weather makes it perfect for being outdoors all day — whether that’s fishing, exploring, or relaxing by the beach. The town has a great atmosphere this time of year, with visitors arriving for the annual fishing classic and the start of whale season. Days are mild and sunny, while mornings and evenings are cooler, so it’s a nice balance.

🌈 LOOKING AHEAD

Planning ahead gives you more choice of dates, especially around popular events when the town tends to book out.

🐳 Whale Season – Whale sightings become more consistent from June through to October, with plenty of opportunities to spot them along the coastline.

🏖️ School Holidays (late June) – A busier period begins as families start arriving for the winter school holidays.

Rainbow House is the perfect base — close to everything, but quiet enough to come back and have your own space after a day out.
